Shrink

Shrink material is used to shrink wrap products in bulk when heat is applied to the material. Shrink is applied over or around a product, often with automated equipment. It can be shrunk with a heat gun or sent through a shrink tunnel.

Shrink is not to be confused with pallet wrap which is stretched around a product/s to secure a load.

There are mainly 3 types of shrink material:

LDPE Shrink
Used for more industrial type packaging, often used to shrink cold drink cans and bottles.

Polyolefin Shrink (Cryovac of POF)
High end shrink product with clarity and gloss, ideal film for unusually shaped objects as well as heavy products with sharp edges such as cd’s, DVD’s, books and cosmetics.

PVC Shrink
PVC Shrink is a polyvinyl material and is often used for products such as plugs.
